Neighborhood History

Businessman Homer Laughlin first began envisioning Laughlin Park in the early 1900s, consulting with architect Lloyd Wright and, later, Irving Gill. However, real development of the site didn't begin until after Laughlin's death in 1913. The neighborhood quickly attracted Hollywood luminaries such as Cecil B. DeMille, Charlie Chaplin, and W.C. Fields.

Today the private Los Feliz community is made up roughly 60 homes, which are all members of the Laughlin Park HOA.
